Payne Stewart was an extremely gifted golfer who wanted to use his platform to make a difference in other people’s lives. He was transformed through his loving family and growing faith, and wanted people of all backgrounds to experience the joy he had found through Christianity. As a PGA TOUR personality, he became one of the game’s most beloved and recognized players, known as an entertainer, jokester, and golf fashion icon. But those closest to him knew him as a family man and a devoted, fun-loving husband and father. Payne had a deep and growing faith that shaped him into the legend that continues to inspire well beyond his tragic death in 1999.
OUR MISSION
The purpose of the Payne Stewart Family Foundation is to primarily assist with programs that allow children and youth to have new opportunities to experience the joy of Christianity. The annual giving strategy provides the guidelines for the accomplishment of this purpose.
